No. Class count and plan are independent. Adding a class adds to your bill at your current plan’s per-class rate. You only move from Basic to Plus when you choose to — we never auto-upgrade you.

You’re always in control — cancel anytime, right from your account settings, no calls or hoops. There are no further charges after you cancel, and you keep full access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

Choose annual and you pay for 10 months and get 12 — 2 months free. Your yearly price per class is your monthly rate times 10.

You tap End Class. Angel reads what you logged that period and pulls out the standouts — one student each, at most: who dug deepest into the thinking, who struggled hardest with it, who showed up strongest for the class, who was most off task, and one who helped a classmate. Only the ones you actually logged show up — a quiet period might surface two students, a rough one four, and nothing you did not log is ever invented. You can skip any of them. Seeing this list is included in Basic; having the parent message written for you is a Plus feature.

No. Nothing leaves your phone without you. For any student on that end-of-period list, Angel will draft the parent message — a text, an email, or a phone script — but only after you tap that student. The teacher taps. The teacher reads it. The teacher sends it from their own phone, in their own Messages or Mail app. Agentic Angel never contacts a parent, a principal, or anyone else.

Your Class screen shows a short “Haven’t heard from” list — at most three names, longest first, tap one to open that student. It counts only days you were actually logging, so weekends, breaks and sick days never count against anyone, and it stays silent for your first week with a new roster because nobody has been missed yet. It is included on every plan.

Student records never leave the encrypted vault unless you explicitly choose to send a parent email or PDF. For everything typed or spoken, AI processing happens with anonymized identifiers — names are swapped for tokens before the AI sees a word. Attendance photos get that same protection inside the image itself: your phone replaces each printed name with an anonymous code before the photo is sent, and if it can’t, it asks you first. Photos you explicitly choose to have read (a roster, gradebook, or nurse’s list) are the one different lane: the photo is sent as you took it, only when you tap to have it read, never stored by our servers, and our AI provider’s terms prohibit training on it. Audit logs are available on every paid plan.

Never. Everything typed or spoken is anonymized before it reaches the AI, and photos you choose to have read travel under the same protection: our AI providers are contractually prohibited from training on anything sent to their APIs — text or image. We don’t sell, share, or aggregate student data with anyone.

Each class holds up to 50 students. When you’re approaching that cap we surface a friendly nudge in the app — never blocking you mid-class. You can add another class to your plan or, if you have students who’ve transferred out, simply remove them from your active roster.
