Student privacy first

FERPA-safe by design: full names stay on the teacher’s devices and reach our servers only as a locked copy that only those devices can open — the other exceptions are the teacher’s own choices: a report sent to a parent, a photo the teacher chooses to send with names readable, or, while a class is first being built from its seating chart, a name not yet on the roster. The AI never sees student names in anything typed or spoken — only anonymized tokens — and every photo is read on the teacher’s phone first, where the student names it finds are coded or covered before anything from it is sent, unless the teacher chooses to send it with names readable. The cloud stores each student only as a code like STU-3F9A1C — no first name, no last name, no initial; the name, ID and parent contact only as a locked copy that only the teacher’s own devices can open.
